A quiet gift from God
Walking through the peaceful grounds of a French Monastry, I discovered a fallen leaf shaped like a perfect heart. It seemed like a quiet gift from God. Having lived and fallen in a place steeped in prayer, the leaf spoke to my heart—a gentle reminder that we are created to love.
I carefully pressed the fragile leaf between the pages of a book, never imagining where it would lead.
A silent witness to hope
Some time later in Los Angeles, my dear artist friend passed away unexpectedly. The day before his memorial, a woman who had just broken up with her boyfriend placed an empty frame into my hands. Overnight, I felt a quiet inspiration and placed the heart-shaped leaf inside the frame and wrote these words around it:“God is love, and love is eternal.”
His family was deeply moved. They placed the framed leaf beside his photograph on the altar, surrounded by flickering candles, where it became a silent witness to hope in the midst of sorrow. I believe it was my friend’s final gift to me—a gentle invitation—to create something that would remind people that His love never dies.
A Reminder Of Our Destiny To Love
As I watched people moved by the simple beauty of that first framed leaf, I began searching for naturally heart-shaped leaves.
Each leaf is delicately selected, preserved and artfully assembled into a unique creation, paired with a handwritten spiritual message inspired by the timeless writings of renowned saints:
